While taking stock of my health in the new year, I realized I haven't suffered a cold or flu in over two years! I credit this excellent good-fortune to my policy of wearing full-fingered cycling gloves everywhere I go in public.
While gloves don't always repel germs, they discourage the wearer from touching their face and eyes with their (cloth-covered) hands, preventing the most common route of cold and flu infection.
Sometimes, staying healthy can be as simple as wearing gloves.
